The student bookstore opens for business on Monday, August 25. Students may purchase supply items as needed at the bookstore on their way to class each morning. Our bookstore is located near the front office.
Sir Readalot's Book Fair is coming - Friday, August 28 thru Friday, September 5. Start saving your money! There will be lots of books and other exciting products for the whole family at the fall book fair. Students will preview and fill out wish lists and shop during school hours. The fair will be open during Family Literacy Night on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 5:30-8:15. We are in search of parent volunteers so if you’d like to help either during the day or during Family Literacy Night, please contact Elaine Loftus, 903-7760 or Madeline Duncan at 532-1860.
Please be sure your student's immunizations are up to date and turned into your child's school. Students without up-to-date immunization records on file by September 19th could be subject to exclusion from school.
If your child is participating in the Free or Reduced Lunch Program and you have not received a new approval letter for the 2014/2015 school year, you must reapply by September 5, 2014. Unless you resubmit an application and are approved Free or Reduced Meal Assistance, your child's status will change to Full Pay. You will also be responsible for your child's textbook rental, which is due October 31, 2014. Forms are available in the school office, at the Warren Education and Community Center or online at http://www.warren.k12.in.us/food-service. For any questions or concerns, please contact the food service department at 317-869-4381 or 317-869-4389. You may also email us at email@example.com.
During the school year we practice several different drills on a regular basis. We conduct fire drills, windstorm drills, and building lockdown drills. These are all very important so that in case of a real emergency our staff and students will know how to remain safe. In the event of building lockdown drills, I will send a phone call home to inform families.
Parents may gain access to the Student Rights & Responsibilities Handbook online through the Warren Township website as well as through the Liberty Park Elementary website. Paper copies will not be distributed to students this year.
