April Pulley Sayre, an Indiana resident and award-winning author came up with a unique way to celebrate Indiana's Bicentennial. Highlighting the state's heritage, towns and schools, she wrote The Indiana Chant.
CBS4, as part of its CBS4 Reads initiative, is proud to partner with Indiana Humanities, the Indiana State Library and the Center for the Book to bring the chant to life. Students from South Creek Elementary in Franklin Township, Liberty Park Elementary in Warren Township and Hazel Dell Elementary in Noblesville teamed up with other Hoosiers around the state to record their own versions of The Indiana Chant.
Indiana will officially celebrate its bicentennial on.
